About Gentle Tide Aquamation

A family-rooted, veteran-led team providing calm, respectful aftercare for pets across Suffolk County NY, Nassau County NY and Queens NY. Guided by integrity, compassion and careful attention from the very first call.

Our Story Begins On Long Island

Gentle Tide Aquamation was founded by Ty Morrison, a Long Island native who grew up surrounded by pets, close-knit neighborhoods and the kind of family values that make compassion a natural instinct. After graduating high school, Ty left New York to serve in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Oklahoma.

During his years of service, Ty developed a calm, structured approach to responsibility—skills that became invaluable later in his work with families going through loss. After completing his military service, he remained in Oklahoma to pursue an emerging calling: a professional career in mortuary science.

Working around end-of-life care taught Ty something profound—while grief is universal, the way we honor those we lose should always feel personal, respectful and intentional. He brought that understanding into every role he held in aftercare services.

Returning Home To Create Gentle Tide

After many years away, Ty felt the pull to return home to Long Island to be closer to family and give something meaningful back to the community that shaped him. Seeing how many pet owners longed for a more gentle, transparent and professional approach to aftercare, he created Gentle Tide Aquamation.

His mission was clear: to offer a calm, respectful, water-based process and private cremation services rooted in dignity and careful handling.

What began as a small local practice has grown into a trusted name across Suffolk County NY, Nassau County NY and Queens NY, serving families who want honesty, compassion and steady guidance during one of the hardest days they’ll ever face.
